This Journal Is "Friends Only"

Although I have a number of different blogs scattered across the internet, this is my personal journal for working through emotions, thoughts, and personal life-related issues.

What You'll Find Here:

• A lot of somewhat repetitive (and probably boring) babbling about my own personal growth, my mental health, and my ongoing quest to make progress in life.



• Ranting and speculating in regards to all the ways I don't really understand other people, both in regards to my own life and in general.



• Various minutiae, random thoughts, and relatively average accounts from my day-to-day life, because yeah. This is more of a journal than it is a blog.



• The occasional quiz or questionnaire, a lot of writer's block responses, and other things along those lines from time to time. Apparently I like to answer questions about myself.

What You Won't Find:

• A bunch of pictures of me. Despite apparently being considered attractive, I have a really strange relationship with my looks, so I hate having my picture taken and rarely post new photos. When I do, they're almost never actually of me and I probably will not think to post them here unless I'm writing about something that requires a visual aid, just FYI.



• Juicy or wildly entertaining information about me that will blow your mind. Seriously, I'm not anywhere near as interesting as people apparently think I'm going to be. In fact, I feel confident in saying I'm pretty boring by most people's standards. If you're looking to be even remotely amused by amazing adventures from a fascinating life or something, you're for reals in the wrong place.



• I don't gossip either. If you're sure I hate you and use this journal to talk smack about you behind your back, you can rest assured that I don't actually care enough. I really only talk about myself here, so you're wasting your time obsessing.



• Useful information about how to "make it" as a freelance writer or artist. I haven't "made it" as anything yet and I definitely don't lead some glamorous life to be jealous of. My job's every bit as boring, frustrating, and unremarkable as yours 99% of the time. When I do talk about work here, I'm usually bitching about it same as everyone else.

All that said, this journal is probably only going to be of interest to people who actually know me as a person (or who really want to), as well as other people from "around LJ" who probably expect to read more personal things from the people they add. I mostly lock this because when it comes to a personal journal, I prefer to know who's reading instead of just leaving it open to anyone and everyone. I'll add just about anyone who wants to add me though, so just leave me a comment and say so if you're interested.

Other Shizz You Might Care About:

If you really want to know more about me or see something that's not completely locked down, feel free to creep my Google+ profile. I often forget to actually use Google+ as the social networking site that it's supposed to be, but I do remember to keep it up as kind of a running directory to help people find me elsewhere on the web. It's more visual than LiveJournal is as well, so I feel more compelled to actually include photos and that sort of thing than I do here.

I have links there to whatever other web profiles I'm using at a given time including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and everything else. Add me on any or all of those as you please. I'm pretty friendly online and very cool about getting to know new people on the internet. There's also a list of other personal blogs and websites that I contribute to once in a while. Unlike this one, those are all publicly available to look at, stalk, creep, and read to your heart's content.
